With the main objective of promoting Urdu language, a three-day long workshop has begun from today at the office of Tajweedul Quran, Manipur at Lilong Bazar.
The workshop is being organised by Tajweedul Quran, Manipur under the sponsorship of Urdu Tea-ching and Research Centre, Himachal Pradesh which is working under the Central Institute of Indian Languages, Mysore, Higher Education Department, Union Ministry of Human Resources Department.
Principal of Urdu Teaching and Research Centre Prof Jog Raj attended and spoke at the inaugural function of the workshop.
Attended by around 60 delegates, director of Tajweedul Quran Manipur Md Wahajuddin, principal of Mohammad English School Md Anwaruddin and advocate Md Ramijuddin also spoke at the occasion.
An orientation course on Urdu language had also been organised by the same Centre at Government Higher Secondary School, Shillong last month.
Teachers from various schools and madrassas have participated in the said orientation course.
