Imphal, July 18:
The All Manipur Jeep Owners and Drivers' Welfare Association has issued an ultimatum that if the Government fails to pay the hiring charge for the vehicles used during the 9th Assembly election, then it would be constrained to impose an indefinite chakka bandh from July 20.In a statement, the Association warned that bandh violators will be held responsible for any untoward incident.
If the Government makes up its mind to clear the hiring charges, then the same may be announced through the newspapers and the radio, it added.
