Different organisations and individuals condemned the killing of Dr Thingam Kishan, Aribam Rajen and Yumnam Token.
Komrem Union while decrying the killing asked how long such killing of own people will continue.
The Union also blamed the State Government for being not able to safeguard the lives of common people despite huge numbers of security personnel are deployed in the State.
Decrying the incident, Mao Naga Women Welfare Association termed the killing as an act of cowardice which has no place in a civilized society.
The association also urged to all groups not to target innocent Government servants and allow them to work peacefully for the welfare and betterment of the people and Government as a whole.
Kuki Students' Organisation, Sadar Hills, Kuki Inpi, Sadar Hills and Kuki Women's Union, Sadar Hills in a joint meeting condemned the brutal killing.
A joint statement of the three Kuki bodies also pledged support in all the movements initiated by JAC and Apunba Lup in connection with the killing.
The organisations also asked the culprits to identify themselves and clarify their intention why they killed the trio at Kuki areas after they were abducted from Ukhrul district.
All Tribal Chiefs Association Manipur, Chandel District Network of United NGO Mission, Lanthungching Village Authority and Young Paite Association also condemned the killing.
Condemning the killing, United Committee Manipur (UCM) accused the State Government of being ignorant of presence of NSCN (IM) camps inside the State.
Maintaining that the Government must understand the pulse of the public, UCM suggested to sit at Delhi if the State Government has to act according to the instructions from the Central Government only.
Maharaja Leishemba Sanajaoba, former MLA Meinam Bhorot, Meetei Council, Moreh president Imobi Singh, Hill Tribal Council, Moreh president Jangmang Haokip, Manipuri Muslim Council, Moreh president Md Hussain, Tamil Sang General Secretary S Ravichandran also condemned the killing.
Terming the incident as a handy work of some evil minded individuals who want to instigate communal flare-up between the communities of the State, Information Centre for Hill Areas Manipur (ICHAM) expressed gratitude to the people of Manipur for remaining calm.
All Manipur Bar Association flayed the State Government for being not able to save the lives of the three victims.
The association also demanded for adequate compensation to victim families.
Teachers Forum DM College of Arts, Rising Knowledge Club, Khoyathong, All Manipur College Teachers' Association (AMGOCTA), North East Dialogue Forum, Kangleipak Youth Social Progressive Association, Chingmi Tammi Unity, Occupancy Day Observation Committee, Public Club, Kangmong Nupi Angangi Yaipha Lup, Welfare Club, Khwai Nagamapal Women's Nishabandi Association, Yaipha Shindam Naharol Club, Heingang Kendra Sporting Union, Kakching Block Congress Committee (I), People's Protection and Development Committee, Uripok Kangchup Road Auto Rickshaw Owners and Drivers' Association, All Manipur Rickshaw Drivers' and Pullers' Welfare Association, All Manipur Recognised Private Schools' Welfare Association, Public Health Engineering Department Workers and Employees Organisation, All Manipur State Employees Council, Manipur Electricity Employees' Union, Salanthong Nupi Lup Social Economic Development Association, United Youths' Club, Kakwa Youth Club, Meitei Inat Semgat Lup, Kanglei Indigenous Martial Arts and Cultural Society, Women Social Welfare Association, Bamon Kampu Women Welfare Association, Imphal East United Clubs' Organisation, Unemployed Development Organisation, United Muslims Council Manipur, Tarahei Muslim Women Welfare Association, Awang Nongpok Nupee Lamjing Lup, Changangei Chaokhat Nupi Lup and Development Committee also condemned the brutal killing.
