Imphal, November 07 2011:
Asserting that the time has come for the people to take a firm stand against 'Indian imperialism' and their orchestrated election in Manipur, the proscribed United People's Party of Kangleipak has called upon all not to contest in the election to the 10th Assembly.
Sharing its views on the revolutionary movements being launched in the State on the occasion of its 3rd anniversary, the Central Committee in a statement issued to the press said that since Manipur was 'forcefully annexed' by India, elections held under its Constitution should be rejected by all.
Anyone found contesting the election will be treated as traitors of the people, said the outfit and added that it will take up political and military action accordingly.
Greeting the people on the Central Committee of the outfit said that it pays its respect to all the groups which are constituent members of Core Committee, the KCP, KYKL, PREPAK, PREPAK (Pro) RPF and UNLF as well as other armed groups of the North East region including the NSCN, ULFA, NBFD, KLO, HNLC, NLFT, ATTF and CCOMPOSA.
Saluting its martyred cadres, UPPK said that though it is still a fledgling outfit it is committed to defeat the Government of India, militarily and politically.
Action will be taken up whether the candidate wins or loses, warned the outfit.
The last three years have been spent in firming our foundation, said UPPK and added that it has now become fully operational and will soon start its revolutionary campaign against the Government of India.
Asking the people to be aware of the machinations of the 'nationalists', UPPK said that these elements work under a false garb and are tools of imperialist India.
The people should introspect and understand the agenda of the 'nationalists' to save themselves from further harm, added the statement.
The outfit also urged the people not to mingle with the security forces of India as well as its leaders and not put themselves at risk of collateral damages.
UPPK further said that it backs the efforts of the Core Committee to form a United Front of all the revolutionary outfits and issued a call to all the groups which have inked the Suspension of Operation agreement as well as cease fire pacts with the Government to return to the revolutionary movement to forge a united stand against the common foe.
