ZYF decries Kuki chiefs's statement: Zeliangrong Youth Front (Assam, Manipur and Nagaland), in another statement, has strongly denounced the statement issued by All Manipur Kuki Chiefs' Federation through the local dailies today as nothing but a cheap attempt to political assassination of Gaikhangam.
It is ridiculous that Kuki Chiefs, who are supposed to be giving guidance to the Kuki community is in such a state of confusion, information and publicity secretary of ZYF K Gaibonlung said in a statement made available to the press.
The Kuki Chiefs' Federation should first of all acknowledge that MPCC (I) is a political party and the suggestions and opinions of the Federation will not be accounted, the statement asserted, adding that electing an MPCC (I) president whether from Meitei, Naga, Kuki or any other communities is the prerogative of the Congress party.
