Imphal, October 24 2010:
A team of the Parliament's Official Language Committee led by Rajya Sabha Deputy Chairman Satyavrat Chaturvedi arrived at Imphal today.
During their three-day stay in the State, the team would make an assessment of how the official language Hindi is being implemented in the State.
Speaking to media persons at Tulihal Airport, MP Chaturvedi stated that they would be checking whether the official language being enforced under an Act of the Parliament is implemented in Manipur sincerely or not.
The team would visit some Govt establishments tomorrow before a meeting with State officials.

Out of 11 MPs of the panel deputed to visit Manipur, four arrived today.
The team would visit BSF, SAI and CIPET tomorrow and see whether the official language is being implemented properly or not, informed an official source.
This would be followed by a meeting with State Government officials in the conference hall of Secretariat, South Block.
