Imphal, February 21 2009:
The JAC Against the Brutal Killing of Dr Th Kishan, Y Token and A Rajen questioned as to why the three abducted staff did not report to their office after being released by the abductors.
The three employees whose whereabouts remained untraced till they were reportedly rescued by a combined security team this morning were abducted together with late Dr Th Kishan, Y Token and A Rajen.
The bereaved families of Kishan, Token and Rajen were informed about rescuing the surviving abducted employees by Works Minister K Ranjit and PDA Chairman Dr Loken at about 9 am today.
The fact that RS Ramsing, S Ramthing and Kapangkhui remained in hiding instead of reporting the matter shows that they have been threatened from doing so, inferred the JAC while asserting that the State Government is duty bound to come out with an explicit clarification on its findings on the involvement of NSCN (IM) in the brutal murder within the deadline of 48 hours.
Moreover, since the triple murder was an act of terrorism committed by the Naga rebel group which is holding peace talks with the Government of India, the Central as well as the State Government should take up the matter at the highest official level, the JAC demanded.
The JAC also appealed to all the people to exercise restrain from indulging in any activity that would be detrimental to communal harmony in the State.
