Imphal, October 19 2010:
Altogether 13 students of Maharaja Bodhchandra College left for an external study tour to Shillong today.
But strangely, the students including three girls and led by four secretaries of the college students' union neither sought permission nor informed the college authority about their tour.
Speaking to media persons this evening, MSF general secretary Anash Shah said that students of the college were planning to go for external tour tomorrow.
But the 13 students left for Shillong today, one day ahead of the schedule.
They did not seek any permission from the college Principal nor informed the college authority.
However, they misled their parents saying that they were taking part in a study tour of the college.
The MSF has nothing against study tour or private tour but such deceit on the part of students is incompatible with the social ethics of the land, Anash said.
Demanding that the college authority should expel the 13 students, the student body's functionary appealed to all parents to be watchful of their children so as to avoid such incidents in future.
The external tour to Shillong was planned on October 20 by the Maharaja Bodhchandra College Students' Union with the trip to Shillong undertaken today.
Meanwhile, another press release issued by the MB College Students' Union has intimated all the students who have submitted their names for the educational tour to report at 8 am of October 24 at the college.
