Kohima, September 12:
The GPRN/NSCN-K of the Angami Region today affirmed that it was not involved in the September 8 killing of five NSCN-IM activists at Lakie road, Jotsoma village near Kohima.
PRO Angami Region GPRN/NSCN-K, Thikelie Angami today maintained that the rival IK gang (NSCN-IM) has been making baseless allegation without an iota of truth to tarnish the good image of the NSCN-K Angami Region.
He also stated that NSCN-K at any given point of time could never stoop so low to the extent of killing a woman in cold blood.
The NSCN-K Angami Region also revealed that taking cognizance of the incident, the Regional Authority is also making its own independent enquiry to unearth the person(s) responsible for the incident.
