A 38 year old man, who is a habitual drug user and used to terrorise people with his licensed gun and opened fire at offices was today penalised by the Central Special Force of the UNLF with a bullet in the leg.
The goonda is identified as Konjengbam Suresh son of K Shyamsunder of Kongba Kshetri Leikai.
The accused was produced before media persons today wherein he gave his testimonials and admitted to the charges levelled against him.
Admitting that he started taking Lobain and N-10 tablets from 2005, Suresh said that he has a license gun (Shot gun) as well as a 9 pm pistol.
The pistol was procured from one Md Manohar of Lilong.
In November last year a 70 year old was hit on the leg when he opened fire, said Suresh.
Not only this he also opened fire at a woman at Canchipur with the bullet grazing her in the first week of December last year, he confessed.
Again on December 30 he opened blank fire following an altercation over a traffic argument at Kongba Khunou.
Suresh further said that he also opened fire at the electricity office at Kongba for not supplying power in the first week of December last year.
He was accompanied by two other persons.
Members of the CSF of the UNLF hauled him up from a programme held in connection with Emoinu festival.
Speaking to the reporters a spokesman of the CSF said that the outfit is strongly against anyone terrorising the people with guns and under the influence of intoxicants.
The spokesman announced that Suresh would be punished with a bullet in the leg and warned his accomplices to surrender within 7 days time.
K Suresh was later shot on the leg at Yairipok Yambem Leikai today at about 7 pm.
