Dimapur, May 10 (NNN):
The general secretary of the NSCN (IM), Th Muivah on his arrival at Dimapur today asked the Naga people not to be too presumptuous.
Delivering a short speech at the Dimapur Airport this afternoon before the gathering crowd who had come to receive him, Muivah said "we must not be too presumptuous".
The NSCN-IM general secretary who had come here for a week to interact with leaders of Naga NGOs and brief them about the latest development on the peace talks said that "Nagas must be prepared for the worst and to face any eventuality".
"We must remain prepared to face the worst and any eventuality because the world belong to the people who face the worst", he added.
However, Th Muivah did not divulge in detail the underlying content of his speech.
But it is obvious that if New Delhi continues to play dilly-dallying tactics the NSCN-IM would go to any extreme.
Muivah also said that the worst may come again to the Nagas and urged the Nagas to remain prepared.
The NSCN-IM general secretary said that whatever there is to be briefed has been conveyed to the Government of India to make them understand the genuine problems of the Nagas people adding "we have told whatever there is to be told to the Government of India.
Now the ball is in their (Govt.of India) court".
The NSCN (IM) general secretary also conveyed the greetings sent by NSCN-IM chairman Isak Chisi Swu to the people gathered on the occasion.
A good number of school children, college students, tribe representatives, Naga NGO leaders and a huge number of general public gathered at the airport to welcome the NSCN-IM supremo.
