Imphal, July 24 2009:
Reacting to the news report published in some section of the media in the July 24 edition, the 2006 UADC Appointees Welfare Association has debunked the claim of the Ukhrul District Council Teachers' Association, that their five months' pay has been deducted.
In a statement issued to the press today, the 2006 UADC Appointees Welfare Association said that the allegation of pay deduction by the Chief Executive Officer, Ukhrul, is 'completely false, baseless, concocted and absurd'.
Claiming that the pay of all the 2006 DPC Teachers Appointee from the month of September 2006 to April 2007, has been paid, the statement said that the dharna staged was just an eye wash.
The dharna was led by 3/4 individuals for their own personal agenda, alleged the statement and added that other than the said 3/4 individuals, the others who took part in the dharna were laymen, who have nothing to do with the issues and pay of the teachers.
The Ukhrul Autonomous District Council Teachers' Association, was recently formed during a meeting by some unauthorised persons and despite the presence of the 2006 UADC Appointees Welfare Association, it alleged.
One of the office bearers of the UADCTA was removed from his previous post of vice president of the 2006 UADC Appointees Welfare Association, it alleged further.
The 2006 UADC Appointees Welfare Association has also appealed to the authority concerned not to entertain the false and fabricated allegations levelled by the 'vested interested persons'.
