Imphal, April 20 2009:
Expressing its strong resentment over the failure of the Government to deliver justice with regard to the murder case of Dr Th Kishan and his two staff, the JAC Against Brutal Killing of Dr Th Kishan, A Rajen and Y Token has resolved not to take part in the 15th Lok Sabha Elections.
It has been more than 60 days since the three sons of the soil (Dr Kishan, Token and Rajen) were murdered by the 'terrorist' NSCN (IM), the JAC noted in a press release.
Notwithstanding various forms of democratic agitation undertaken by the JAC and the people with the foremost demand to punish the 'terrorists' according to the law of the land, the State Govt had shrugged off its responsibility of delivering justice by the placing the ball at the Central Government's court, it alleged.
The JAC also reiterated its appeal to the State authorities not to run away from its responsibilities under cover of 'CBI enquiry' and by giving the excuse that they can only wait for intervention from the Central Government.
Disclosing that various forms of democratic agitation are still to come, the JAC declared that it would not sit quiet until and unless justice is delivered regarding the brutal murder of the three sons of the soil.
Meanwhile, parents of late Dr Kishan has conveyed sincere gratitude to all the people who have been taking part in different movements within Manipur and beyond demanding justice against the most gruesome and barbaric murder committed by NSCN (IM) cadres.
