Due process for formal declaration of ceasefire between the Government of India and KCP-MC (Lanheiba) has been initiated.
Significantly, KCP-MC (Lanheiba) was involved in different cases of bomb blast and the abortive car bomb planted inside the Raj Bhavan.
Military affairs secretary of the outfit Lanheiba Meitei who was lodged in Sajiwa Central Jail has been taken away by 30 Assam Rifles this evening in a move seen as a step forward to the ceasefire agreement.
Speaking to media persons outside the jail gate, Lanheiba said that he was freed to prepare for dialogue with the Government of India.
On being asked about his change of mind, Lanheiba said that he wanted peace and stability in the society.
