Imphal, November 06 2010:
Strongly advocating unity amongst the people of Kangleipak, the armed outfit, United People's Party of Kangleipak has appealed to all fraternal revolutionary organisations of the land to sit together, talk thoroughly and generate a healthy debate by putting forward their respective ideologies and unification theories, leaving aside all dogmatism.
Greeting the people of both the hills and valley of Kangleipak on the occasion of the outfit's second raising day, the UPPK central committee expressed hope that all community based organisations like the KNO, UKLF, KNF, ZRO, UKRA, KLO, KRA, ZDV, HPC (D), PULF, MNRF, UNPC, SPLO etc would join hands one day and wage a unified liberation movement.
A statement issued by the central committee also conveyed its best greetings to fraternal organisations UNLF, RPF, KYKL, PREPAK and KCP as well as all revolutionary organisations operating in the North East region and all member organisations of the Coordination Committee of Maoist Parties and Organisations of South Asia (CCOMPOSA) .

Stating that UPPK's ideology is based on democratic socialism and secularism and that it puts full faith in collective leadership, the outfit asserted that India is a neo-liberal capitalist country.
Quoting the United Nations Human Development Reports published on November 4 last, the outfit noted that South Asia is home to 844 million multi-dimensionally poor people which is half of the world's population put under the same category.
Out of these, 421 million people live in India.
The number of multi-dimensionally poor people living in Delhi alone is equal to the population of such people living in Iraq and Vietnam.
On the other hand, India is among the top ten nations of the world whose GDP growth rates are the highest.
This shows that India is a country which is neck-deep in corruption.
In another word, 70 per cent of the 1.15 billion population of India are subsisting on Rs 25 to 50 they earn as daily wage.
The remaining 30 per cent comprising of Ministers, bureaucrats, industrialists and businessmen are amassing wealth in terms of thousands, millions and billions.
India is a country where the majority 70 per cent underprivileged people are being subjugated by the minority 30 per cent well off section.
Alleging that all the Chief Ministers excepting a few one belonging to Left parties have properties worth more than Rs 500 crores.
In the face of such lop-sided situation, the Government of India has enacted several apparently noble acts and laws like Right to Information Act, Right to Education, Right to Food etc.
But this acts and laws would never succeed in correcting the neo-capitalist system of India, the outfit asserted.
All these apparently noble acts and laws are deceptions aimed at hoodwinking the majority underprivileged people.
The people of Kangleipak (Manipur) whose population is just around 2.4 million out of India's total population of 1.15 billion can never correct the Indian system.
It's time the people of Kangleipak understand that there is no hope for posterity under the Indian regime which has already upstaged Bangladesh and Pakistan in poverty level.
The first step towards securing the future of Kangleipak would be liberation of Kangleipak from the control of India which would be having the largest population as well as the highest population of poor people by 2030, the outfit asserted.
