Imphal, August 21:
The proscribed KYKL has rejected the police claim of arresting eight of its activists from the Babupara official residence of Lamsang A/C MLA Brajabidhu after a raid on August 17 and dubbed it as baseless and an attempt to malign the name of the outfit by needlessly dragging it into the political game of toppling the Government.
In a statement, deputy secretary publicity and research of the outfit Apabi Mangang said the mask of politicisation of police has been unveiled after a four-day long investigation soon after the newspaper report of the arrest on August 18.The investigation was taken up promptly to verify the police claim in the light of the strategic policy of KYKL to prohibit working in group and gathering such large number of cadres at any place of security-high-risk zone.
