Personnel of the Central Paramilitary Forces to be deployed in connection with the conduct of the ensuring two-phased Parliamentary election in Manipur would be started arriving at Imphal from March 26. On the other hand, the Election Commission of India has given strong instruction on recording all the details related to the candidates at the time of filing their nomination papers to contest in the election.
According to an official source, the Central Paramilitary Forces which was be utilised during the conduct of the Parliamentary election in two phases in the State would started arriving at Imphal with effect from March 26.In all 69 companies of Paramilitary forces have been approved by the Election Commission for deployment in the State to ensure smooth conduct of the election.
Meanwhile, the Election Department of the State Government has received strong instruction from the Election Commission that the land line phone number, mobile phone number, e-mail and website address of the candidates should be recorded at the time of filing their nomination papers to contest in the election.
Accordingly, the instruction of the Election Commission has been communicated by the Joint CEO of the State to all the Deputy Commissioners of the districts today itself, the source added.
