The administration of JN Dance Academy is so corrupt that there is no transparency at all, alleged expelled Guru of the Academy A Bimo adding that if the trend continues, it would be a misfortune for the whole Manipuri nation.
During a press meet today at Manipur Press Club, A Bimo disclosed that most of the Gurus of the Academy were appointed without undergoing any formal procedure like DPCs or interview.
Moreover, many Gurus above 60 years of age are extending their service by repeatedly manipulating their ages, he alleged.
Concerning the absence of their names in the attendance register of one Guru each of Lai Haraoba, Thang-Ta, Sankriton and three grade IV employees, the alleged victims Ch Ranjit, A Bimo Sharma, L Dharmendra, H Inaoba and Rosan Longjamba said that their names were deleted from the attendance register when they went for attendance signatures on June 3.They contended that if they were removed from their posts because of being casual employees, no other casual employees are removed from service.
Moreover, there is no written intimation from the Director of the Academy or from the Sangeet Natak Academy in this regard, they informed.
When asked of the abrupt removal to the Director L Upendra, he conveyed that they were removed in accordance to the instruction from Sangeet Natak Academy.
But the Director could not produce any written order pertaining to their removal from service, the employees informed.
Concerning the matter, a written complaint signed jointly by A Bimo, H Inaoba, Ranjit Chingtham, Rosan Longjamba and A Dharmendra has been submitted to the Director, they stated.
Copies of the complaint along with documents of one employee who is still working in the Academy after the expiry of retirement age were also submitted to the VC of the Academy, advisory committee, Pradhan Guru and employees welfare association of the Academy, they mentioned.
