Health Director sets record straight

Responding to the call to come out with a fresh merit list of the recently announced result of the entrance examination of MBBS/BDS on the ground that some answer keys were wrong, the Health Director has issued a statement asserting that the answer keys provided are true and correct.
In the statement, the Health Director said that after the merit list of the candidates was announced on June 11, the answer keys were announced on June 13 with June 18 kept as the last date for filing any complaints.
Accordingly four candidates put forward complaints with respect to one question of Physics, Question number 15 of Code C, Ques number 10 of Code A and Ques number 25 of Code B while one candidate complained with respect to Chemistry paper, the question being number 46 of Code B.The Health Director said that the complaints and disputed questions were referred to the moderators concerned of the entrance examination.
Based on various reference books and authorities, the moderators have found the keys to the answers published by the Directorate to be true and correct, claimed the statement.
After thoroughly examining the opinion of the moderators, the Selection Board has concluded that the answer keys stand valid.
The Health Directorate also made it clear that there is no question of any negligence on their part in clarifying the matter as the correctness of the claims have to be examined carefully.
Clarifications cannot be done in a hurry.
Stating that there may be few questions/answers which may be controversial in any entrance examination, the Health Director appealed to all concerned to view the examination in a positive manner in view of the complexity involved.
Moreover to maintain confidentiality and make the exam above board, questions were invited from outside Manipur, he noted.
