Imphal, September 09 2012:
The Government of India's attempt to adjudicate UNLF Chairman Sana Yaima, Organisation Secretary M Nongyai alias Joy and other cadres on the charge of waging war against India is against and in violation of international law, the outfit alleged in a press statement issued by its Senior Publicity Officer Ksh Yoiheiba.
The Government of India has no right to adjudicate Chairman Sana Yaima nor there is any case of UNLF waging war against India.
Alleging that what the Government of India has been doing is a mock trial, the outfit said that Kashmir and Western South East Asia (WESEA) are being suppressed as colonies even after the end of colonial era and the United Nation's decolonization process.
By deploying large number of Indian military, people are being repressed in addition to imposing many draconian laws like Armed Forces (Special Powers) Act.
The culprit is the aggressor Government of India which has been occupying Manipur.

UNLF is a resistance group fighting to protect rights of the mass and the right to self-determination of the people of Manipur.
As a leader of the group, Chairman Sana Yaima was only discharging his duties.
There is no question of UNLF waging war against anyone.
UNLF was trying to protect the people from the Indian military.
The alleged imperialist Government of India's attempt to adjudicate Chairman Sana Yaima after projecting him as an accused is mock trial.
It is an attempt to cover up their brute side of imperialism.
Such mock trials being staged by the Government of India after setting up their chosen agency like the NIA with the objective of suppressing the liberation movement is a case of 'history repeats itself' .
The Government of India's mock trial is no different from the British empire's trial of prince Tikendrajit and General Thangal after the defeat of Manipur in the Anglo-Manipur War of 1891 .
At that time, no one could argue against the injustice done by the British empire for there was no learned Manipuri.
But today, there are many Manipuris who are well educated in international rules, norms and laws.
What is lacking today is for this group of people to stand up and fight against the alleged colonial rule of India.
There is no reason why India should outdo Manipur when all sections of the society share their due responsibilities in the war for freedom, it asserted.
