Even as a team of Imphal East and West police have left Imphal on May 4 to take underground activists put up at different jails outside the state, Delhi police has refused to hand over one underground activist citing that an investigation to his case is due.
The police team has however brought two other jailed underground activists.
According to report, the activist whom the Delhi police refused to hand over is Kh Raju alias King of Keishamthong Hodam Leirak.
He was arrested in the state as a hard core member of the KRA (U) and he has been detained under NSA.
He along with several other NSA detainees has been deported to jails outside the state recently.
However, the police team has transported two other underground activists from jails outside the state.
The two are Leibakjao Meitei (36) son of Potsangbam Amuyaima of Pukhao Terapur under Lamlai police station from Tihar Jail in Delhi and Boyai from Jodhpur Jail in Rajasthan.
