AMSU today expressed fear of controlling the economy and governance of the state by the outsiders if the inflow of non-locals in the state in high rate is check well in time.
Speaking at a press conference held today in connection ahead of the observation of the 29th Realization Day on April which the students body is going to held on April 17 as in the previous years, its president Jamesbond Mangang said recounted the important of the day in 1980 which the students of the state rose up to protest against the unchecked inflow of the non-locals outsiders into the state.
The conference was also attended by its vice president, Khamba Khagembam, secretary general Md Alamgir and information and publicity secretary Laikhuram Ranendra.
They appealed all section of the society to participate in the observation which would held at the Pishum Chinga memorial site with a mass rally.
Speaking on the important of the observation of the day, the students body lamented that 30 percent of total heads of the state were non-locals coming from different parts of the other places of the country.
