Whereabouts of a 12-year old girl taken away by a man from the neighbour seven days back remains untraceable till date.
Decrying the alleged concealment of the girl, students of Anita Standard High School where she is study staged a sit-in protest at Kwakta Bazar today.
According to the family, the 12-year old Khalida Begum daughter of Abdul Salam of Kwakta Bazar has been missing since she went out for buying sugar from the Bazar on November 19 .
She went out with Sajima Begum, daughter of Akbar, who family accused of concealing the girl.
Md Akbar, a resident of same locality took away her (Khalida).
He is originally from Mayang Imphal and posting at Veterinary Office, Kwakta Bazar as attendant.
After taking away the girl, the family of Akbar had also left there present residence.
Since the day parents of Khalida was running post to pillar to know whereabouts of their daughter, locals who hinted Akbar taken away Khalida as his fifth wife.
Regarding the alleged illegal confinement of the girl, her parents have also filed a case in the court of Bishnupur Chief Judicial Magistrate.
Police has also reportedly registered a case in comply with the directive of the court.
Meanwhile, decrying the illegal confinement of their colleague, students of Anita Standard High School today staged a sit-in protest at Kwakta Bazar.
They demanded immediate release of the girl and help in restoring the academic atmosphere of the school.
