BRTF labourers cease work demanding transfer of OC Choube Maipak

Labourers of BRTF under 82 RCC, Tengnoupal have undertaken cease work strike since April 16 along Indo-Myanmar border demanding transfer of Officer In-Charge of 82 RCC, Tengnoupal Choube at the earliest.
The matter came to light when a team of reporters who went for inspection today.
It may be noted that repairing work have begun along only about 6 km of the 179 km long stretch from Moreh Ward No 1 to New Samtal with blacktopping over a distance of only about 500 metre.
According to Yangsei Lhungdim, a labourer, OC Choube has been very bias in his dealing and treatment with the labourers.
The OC also deducted two day's wages if a labourer was absent from work for a day.
Until and unless, the authority concerned transfer the OC, the labourers would continue with their stir with the support of civil society organisations in Moreh, he said.
