The trend of imparting moral education by the parents at home before sending out in the society is no more in due course of time, said Dr RK Ranjan, director of College Development Council and Academic Staff College, Manipur University speaking at the inaugural function of the training on early childhood care and education.
The one year course training programme opened today was organized by the Kanglei Young Socio Cultural Organisation jointly with All India Early Childhood Care and Education, Imphal Centre at the training hall of the former at Nagamapal Soram Leirak.
Speaking at the inaugural function, RK Ranjan said, once in Manipur society, parents and guardians use to impart moral education to the3 children before they go out in the society.
But today in due of course of time, the same practice is no more seen.
This is due to having no time for the parents and guardians in engaging for earning livelihood.
This is also the reason behind the opening of many child care centres.
As such the need of imparting teaching technique to the teachers and instructors at the child care centre need to be well trained first.
Delivering key note address of the training programme, Brojeshori of the child care training centre expressed that in the state parents and guardians do not take much interest in taking care of their children but in other parts of the globe, it has been assumed that when imparting moral education and discipline at the age of six year.
The inauguration function of the training programme was also attended by associate professor, Dr L Kunjeshori of history department, MU as guest of honour and presided by S Premabati, director, Imphal centre of the All India Early Childhood Care and Education.
