Imphal, July 15:
Unidentified armed persons suspected to be underground activists targeted Indian Reserve Battalion and CRPF posts located at Bishnupur district with heavy gunfire and bomb attack around midnight yesterday.
According to sources, the II IRB post at Ngangkhalawai under Moirang police station came under fire at about 11.30 pm.
However, there is no report of any injury or casualty of security personnel.
The second attack was launched at Moirang Khunou Power House post of �A� Company of the 132 CRPF at around 12.40 am.
Under barrel grenade launcher and rocket laun-cher were used during the attack.
There is no report of casualties.
Meanwhile, a UNLF spokesman claiming that its MPA cadres attacked the CRPF post said a special task force of its armed wing targeted the Chakpikarong security post yesterday night at around 8.30.The attackers used rocket propelled grenade and grenade launchers in the Chakpikarong onslaught, detailed the spokesman while contemplating that some security force personnel might have been killed or injured.
