The proscribed Revolutionary people's Front has expressed deep condolence on the untimely demise of Mayengbam Manaobi alias (Pte) Rocky s/o M Brojen Singh of Hiyanglam Awang Leikai.
According to a statement issued by chief, Department of Publicity of RPF GM Changjou, Rocky succumbed to malarial infection on November 11 night at the outfit's general headquarters, where Rocky was deployed.
Rocky reportedly joined the RPF's armed wing PLA on October 17, 2008 and after successful completion of basic military training was allotted Army number 3163, and consequently assigned at the general headquarters.
GM Changjou, on behalf of the RPF and PLA also conveyed of sharing solidarity to the bereaved family of M Manaobi.
Meanwhile, another RPF statement issued today has categorically rejected SSP, Thoubal's claim that Salam Kiran (32) s/o S Budhi of Mondum Chandonpokpi Tokpaching is a cadre of the RPF/PLA.
Salam Kiran has no relationship, in any way, with either the RPF or its armed wing PLA, said GM Changjou reacting to the SSP's contention that S Kiran, apprehended by a combined team of Thoubal district police commandos and 21 AR personnel from Tokpaching area on November 10 morning, is a cadre of RPF/PLA.
