Chief Minister O Ibobi Singh today convened a meeting and discussed myriad of issues related to construction of Civil Secretariat at Mantripukhri as part of the larger Capitol complex.
The meeting also decided that the foundation stone for construction of Civil Secretariat would be laid on October 18 .
According to a reliable source, the meeting presided by the Chief Minister in the morning today was attended by Works Minister K Ranjit, IFCD Minister N Biren, Agriculture Minister N Loken and other high ranking Government officials concerned.
Along with discussion on commencing works on construction of Civil Secretariat, the meeting decided that the foundation stone would be laid on October 18, the source said, adding that the existing godown, garage, laboratory and other mechineries of Agriculture Dept at Mantripukhri have to been shifted to the Mechanised Farm at Lamphel to facilitate construction of the Civil Secretariat.
It may be noted here that the State Cabinet has already entrusted Simplex company for construction works of the Civil Secretariat.
In today's meeting, the CM has also directed the IFC Dept for taking up necessary steps to drain out the flood water from the High Court complex which is being constructed at Chingmeirong.
