Taking strong exception to the act of threatening the MACS project director, a protest sitting was staged today in MACS complex.
The protesters including MACS officials, staff and doctors hold placards which read as, "Don't terrorise MACS which is fighting against HIV/AIDS", "We condemn grenade threat against project director" etc.
Speaking to reporters, MACS project director TR Kom while decrying the act of gifting him a grenade, appealed to all concerned not to repeat such acts in future.
Saying that he has been working for the welfare of HIV/AIDS affected persons and to prevent further spread of the disease, TR Kom noted that such threats cause serious mental and physical trouble besides reducing enthusiasm of the people to work for the society.
Meanwhile, the Kom Rem Students' Union has also strongly condemned the grenade threat against MACS project director TR Kom.
The Union also appealed to all concerned not to repeat such acts in future.
