Family members of Golmei Mangal (59), an injured victim in the Khwairamband fake encounter incident of July 23, have complaint that the government authority is not extending help till now for his treatment.
Addressing reporters today at the Manipur Press Club Hall, Poubi Golmei, the brother of Mangal said assistance for the injured victims of the Khwairamband incident from the government is still a far cry.
Golmei Mangal is from Keithelmanbi.
He sustained bullet injury at the left hand.
He said, on the day of the occurrence of the incident, the Chief Minister had paid a visit to the injured victims at the hospital.
But the CM had not visited G Mangal.
Poubi also expressed his disappointment over the indifferent attitude of the CM.
Poubi said the left hand of his brother needs amputation.
He also draws the attention of the government to extend assistance to the family at the earliest.
Speaking on the occasion, President of DCT, P Damuak demanded CM Ibobi stop militarisation policy.
Nothing will be achieved by forcible suppression.
President of Rongmei Lu Phuam, Panti Golmei also demanded the unconditional and immediate release of the jailed Apunba Lup leaders.
