NSAB team meets CM, leaves Imphal

Officials of National Security Advisory Board (NSAB) led by its Chairperson Shyam Sapan, who have arrived here on a two-day visit yesterday, have met Chief Minister O Ibobio Singh today before leaving for Dimapur.
The NSAB team comprising its Chairman Shyam Sapan; Director of IB PC Haldar; Retired Lieutenant Colonel PC Bhardwaj, who was the Vice Chief of Army Staff and member of National Security Advisory Board Prakash Menon arrived here yesterday morning to monitor the prevailing law and order situation and border trade activities in the State.
The team was also assisted by R Shahrawat, Chairman of Land Ports Authority of India and another officer.
Soon after their arrival at Imphal yesterday, they were lifted to Moreh by a special chopper to inspect the border trade activities and progress of the work on border fencing and integrated check post.
The officials of NSAB also interacted with the Army officials deployed in the border town.
After returning from Moreh, the NSAB officials also interacted with the top officials of Manipur Police at Kangla.
On the second and last day of the visit to the State today, the NSAB officials called on Chief Ministry O Ibobi and discussed issues related to ongoing border trade activities.
After meeting the Chief Minister, the team left Imphal for Dimapur in a chopper.
