Grandpa allegedly raped his physically challenged girl and turned out from the house with a threatened not to disclose to any others.
The incident occurred at Nungoi Mayai Leikai in Imphal east district under Lamlai police station on July 6 last.
Relating the incident, the mother of the raped girl who is also physically challenged and a widow too said that her daughter who both legs and hands defunct was allegedly raped by younger brother of her father-in law named Takhellambam Tomba (50) on July 6 last while she was preparing meal of the day at the kitchen.
She found her daughter at the bed of Tomba.
At that she beat up Tomba but he retaliated and beaten her again.
In the aftermath of the incident, she and her daughter were also beaten up by Tomba and threatened to killed by throwing into the river if disclose to any other forced them to deliver at her parental home at Huidrom Natum.
Without her plea to go alone with her daughter after meal of the day, they were forced to drop at her parental house at the night at around 11 pm at the house of her younger brother, Ningombam Nando.
She further alleged that the incident was not the first one, before this also her daughter was raped for at least in three to four instants.
She remained undisclosed to the matter to none as she has been under threat from the alleged rapist Tomba and his family.
Apart from physically disabled, her daughter could not speak well and she has been earning livelihood by doing day to day available works at Swambung area.
Meanwhile, secretary of the Huidrom Meira Paibi, Huidrom Peton said on suspicious of dropping the mother and daughter, elders of the village called elders of Nungoi.
They sent two elders who could take the responsibility.
They were detained by the outrage villagers but later taken away by the Lamlai police.
They also took the statement of the mother of the raped daughter.
Police had taken up action in connection with the detention of the two elders of Nungoi but failed to initiate any action with regard to alleged raped incident, she added.
