Another truck driver, handyman abducted for ransom

Days after a truck driver and handyman who were abducted by armed cadres of NSCN (K) from Piphema, Nagaland for a ransom amount of Rs 60 lakh were released after 19 days in captivity, another truck driver and a handyman coming with loaded FCI rice were reportedly abducted by suspected cadres of NSCN (K) from near 7 Mile Zebra Parking, Kohima in Nagaland on August 13 at around 2 am.
The abducted driver has been identified as Gopal (28) of Kanglatongbi while the handyman as Nawang of Tamenglong district.
Reports said that they were coming in a truck bearing registration no MN01K-0490 loaded with FCI rice towards Imphal from FCI Dimapur godownb when they were forcibly taken away by armed cadres of NSCN (K) from 7 Mile Zebra Parking near Kohima.
Upon their abduction, the outfit served a huge monetary demand to the concerned FCI contractor and owner of the truck for securing their safe release.
There whereabouts of the abducted duo could not be ascertained yet, the reports added.
