Tejbanta Singh Chingtham, an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science & Engineering at Sikkim Manipal University, has been chosen for inclusion in the 2010 edition of the prestige Marquis Who's Who which will be published in November 2009 by Who's Who in the World, New Jersey, the USA.
Tejbanta is working on a research "Artificial Immune System for Autonomous Mobile Robots and Intelligent Agents" since 2004 and has 16 International Publications in Journals and Conference Proceedings, published by the Springer-Verlag, Germany and IEEE, USA and IACSIT, Singapore.
Among other achievements, Tejbanta's M Tech research thesis carried out at IIT, Guwahati has also been referred as a chapter in a text book entitled 'A Handbook on Artificial Immune System Research' authored by Prof Luis Fernando, Prof Camelo Eduardo and Prof Jose Guillermo Marin of the National University of Columbia.
He has also written a chapter on the book titled 'Computational Intelligence' to be published by IN-TECH publishers, Vienna, Austria which will be available in stores by August 2009 .
His paper titled 'Engineering Artificial Immunity as a Man-Machine Interaction paradigm for Autonomous Mobile Robots' was awarded the Best Research Paper award in the NCMSTA '08 Conference held at NIT Hamirpur, Himachal Pradesh in November 2008 .
Born to Chingtham Tombi and Chingtham Bilasini of Kwakeithel Thokchom Leikai, Tejbanta Chingtham did his schooling from Tiny Tot's School, Imphal and he is an alumnus of Sainik School, Imphal.
He did his BE Computer Science and Engineering from Bharathiar University, Coimbatore, M Tech in Computer Science and Engineering from IIT, Guwahati and Ph D from Birla Institute of Technology in Computer Science and Engineering in Human-Robot Interaction.
