Two shops gutted at Churachandpur

Imphal, November 10 2010:
Two shops in Churachandpur town were reduced to ashes in a fire burnt incident occurred in the wee hour of today.
In the effort to douse the fire one youth injured.
The shops � Rebok Inn and White House � were belonged to one Miss Rebecca and Thangpao respectively.
Younger brother of Rebecca, David (40) sustained injuries in the hand, back and other parts of the body when he tried to douse the fire spreading at his sister's shop.
He has been admitted at Churachandpur district hospital.
The Robok Inn deals in blanket while White House in second-hand clothing items.
Properties worth over Rs 30 lakh have been claimed reduced to ash in the fire burnt incident, suspected to be have been broken out from a short-circuit in the Rebok Inn.
Fire fighters at Churachandpur fire service station assisted by Assam Rifles took several hours to put the fire under control and preventing from spreading to the neighbouring shops.
