Imphal, February 23 2009:
Denying the statement of the Army which claimed the arrest of the outlawed Kangleipak Communist Party (KCP-MC) Commander in Chief Lanheiba Meitei from Aizawl, which appeared in local media, the KCP(MC) today stated that no arrest of Lanheiba Meitei had been made and there is no post of C-in-C within the party.
A statement issued by Lanheiba Meitei himself, as the Secretary, Military Affairs Miltary Council (KCP) denied that the outfit members have no plot or house in other parts of the country for their own gratification.
The Statement of the PIB (DW) claiming the arrest of a KCP (MC) leader in Aizawl and the success of the Operation Grand Slam-II was a part of the "bold and masterly" concept of Maj Gen Shakti Gurung, the architect of the operation, said Lanheiba Meitei in the statement.
Let the Army officers know the popular Manipuri saying "Watonna Mawanglabada Kwakna phamdekee." (The crow breaks the bamboo by sitting in the shoot, which remains proud of its height) Denying the arrest, it said that there is no post such as C-in-C within the KCP (MC) and it was a display of the prowess of the Army in deception.
Saying that the Operation Grand Slam-II was an operation launched by the Pakistan Army in September 1, 1965 in an attempt to claimAkhnoor, and make it a Pakistan Military operational area, the statement said that the present operation is also adopted and launched to make Manipur as an operational area of the Indian Army.
It is like dreaming a dream that is never coming true.
The claim of the Army in arresting the KCP (MC) leader without any confirmation shows that the Indian intelligence is a faceless, uninformative, and weak in networking.
It also appealed the people not to easily believe unconfirmed report.
It also said that it is high time the revolutionary organisations of unite and face the enemy as one, this is the step to be taken by the outfit.
