Imphal, October 01 2009:
Passenger service transporters operating along Indo-Myanmar section of NH-39 decided not to extend any help to any organisation until the owner of the Tata Magic whose vehicle had been burnt down by KCP cadres is compensated.
It was resolved in a joint meeting of the transporters held at Lilong yesterday, said a press release of United Tata Ace Magic Association.
The association expressed reservations over the incident saying that the outfit did not ask for any monetary help to the association prior to setting ablaze of the vehicle.
It further said that the cadres took away Rs 470 and a mobile handset from the driver before they whisked away the vehicle.
