MU student porn video maker further remanded till Nov 24

The student of Manipur University who has been arrested by the police on the charge of circulating porn video clippings inscribing the name of his ex-girl friend has been remanded into judicial custody till November 24 after producing him in the court of Chief Judicial Magistrate Imphal today.
Three of his associates who were rounded up by the police during investigation into the case registered with the Singjamei police have been released on bail.
Mention may be made that the 26-year old student of Manipur University, Moirangthem Sunderchand of Kyamgei Mamang Leikai, Imphal was arrested after the father of a girl doing MA in English lodged a complaint with the Singjamei police recently is in police custody till today.
Police arrested the youth following a complaint lodged by the father to the station alleging that after her daughter had cut-off relations with him, Surchand indulged in the circulation of porn video clippings inscribing his daughter's name through mobile phones via blue tooth.
Police arrested three of Sunderchand's associates during the course of investigation into the case.
A laptop allegedly used in fabricating lewd clippings of the girl was also seized by the police.
While producing them in the court today, police charged Surchand and his associates had been perpetrating the criminal act since the year 2007 with an intention to commit crime purportedly obtaining a porn video clipping from a source best known to him in which the woman in the act look like his ex-girl friend.
They seized the mobile handset containing obscene video clippings from the accused person (Sunderchand).
He admitted that he has inscribed the name his ex-girl to the porn video clippings to defame her in the society, police told in the court.
Police further charged his three associates helping Sunderchanda in inscribing the name of the girl while praying the court for remanding them also in the police judicial custody for a period of 15 days so as them to enable to conduct smooth investigation.
However, after hearing arguments of counsels of both police and alleged accused, the three associates of Sunderchand were released on bail with Rs 40,000 surety bond.
