The Joint Action Committee (JAC) constituted against the brutal murder of Kasom Khullen SDO, Dr.Kishan and his two subordinates has sought information under Right To Information (RTI) Act Section (18) to Manipur information commission on Thursday, according to the press release issued by the JAC.
The information seeker of the case is
Y.Kapoor, the convenor of JAC and the information officer, under Secretary DP Secretariat, Government of Manipur is the respondent, according to the press release.
The JAC has sought several information on the brutal murder of Kasom Khullen SDO Kishan and his two subordinates, such as the whereabouts of the Ukhrul district commissioner (DC) Pankaj Pal, to give a copy of the suspension order of the DC, order copy of DC not to leave the head quarter, to provide the details of the number of days he stayed in Manipur after his suspension from the DC post, people who were responsible in helping the DC to flee the head quarter, to provide a copy of order that enabled him to leave head quarter, to give a copy of FIR if a case had been filed upon Pankaj Pal regarding the killing, if there was any case taken up against the DC by the Government of Manipur and furnish the reason if case was not filed against him.
According to the press statement, the JAC has sought information under RTI act under Section 6(1) to learn the detailed information of the killing from the state public information officers under Secretary D.P.Secretariat, Government of Manipur.
However, there was no response till a month from the filing of the case.
Eventually, the JAC had to file a new case again.
The SDO of Kasom Khullen, Ukhrul district was brutally killed at a spot along National Highway 39 in Senapati district along with his two subordinates, Y.Token Singh and A.Rajen Sharma on Feb 17, this year after abducting them from their office in Kasom Khullen, Ukhrul district.
