Imphal, April 27 2010:
The maring Students' Union (MSU) has claimed that it has proof of candidates being selected inspite of their absence (did not appear) when the examination was held for recruitment of Autonomous District Councils' primary school teachers, result of which was declared on April 26 .
An MSU release issued by its president alleged collusion of corrupt elements in the recruitment procedures thereby causing strong resentment among the genuine candidates.
Further asserting that several irregularities detected by the student body were highlighted to Minister and official concerned of Chandel district, the MSU condemned inaction by authorities concerned inspite of assurances that the matter would be thoroughly probed before the result is declared.
It also demanded that the Tribal Development Minister and CEO (ADC) Chandel issue clarification on the matter failing which indefinite bandh would be imposed in the whole of Chandel district from April 30 .
