A 20-day long training programme on biodiversity being jointly organised by Regional Resource Agency and Institute of Bioresources and Sustainable Development, Takyelpat has begun from today at the conference hall of the Directorate of Art and Culture, Palace Compound.
Social worker and former MLA Dr M Nara Singh inaugurated the workshop as chief guest.
Around 60 students from different districts of the State are participating in the training programme during which many resource persons would be delivering lectures on bioresources apart from facilitating interactive sessions, field exposure, lab exposure and audio-visual learning.
Senior Scientific Officer of Environment and Ecology Wing Dr M Homeshwar, Director of Education (S) M Harekrishna and Director in-charge of IBSD Dr NC Talukdar were also present at the inaugural function.
