BARELY A week after the inter state buses resumed its service, yet again desperate inter state buses stay off roads from Thursday following the threat imposed by the KLO\KLA to cease service until further notice from the outfit.
A meeting held in this regards by the All Manipur Inter State Bus Association at North AOC today, Imphal failed to arrive at any concrete resolutions, even though ticket reservation counters remained open.
This has left the desperate transporters unsure whether the buses will ply or not.
According to A.Budha Luwang, the president of the All Manipur inter bus association, the transporters are in dilemma, unable to decide anything regarding the matters.
However, some of the buses have decided to stopped there services citing the question of the safety of the buses and passengers, added the president.
It may be mentioned that a Guwahati bound bus of the state was torched at Loharijan , Assam by the KLO\KLA on October 23, wherein two passengers were charred to death, over monetary demand.
To protest the incident the All Manipur Inter State Bus Association had even resorted to suspending of the services indefinitely demanding highway security for the bus plying along the National Highway 39 to the state government followed by condemnation from different corners.
