Chakpikarong gets Ultrasound,X-ray facilities in Hospital

The facilities of Ultrasound & X-Ray were successfully installed and dedicated to the people of Chakpikarong sub-division during an inaugural function of the same at Community Health Centre, Chakpikarong today.
The Inaugural function was attended by 41-Chandel A/C MLA St Nunghlung Victor as the Chief Guest, Director Health cum Mission Director, State Health Society Manipur, Dr.Okram Ibomcha Singh as the Guest of Honor.
Deputy Commissioner of Chandel Ningthoujam Geoffrey presided over the function.
Inaugurating the X-ray, Chandel MLA St Nunghlung Victor, operated the user friendly machine and took the X-ray of a patient under the supervision of the medical officers.
The MLA thanked the Director Health cum Mission Director, SHS Manipur, Dr Okram Ibomcha whose leadership has made CHC Chakpikarong to get ultrasound and X-ray being inaugurated and made functional today.
Dr Okram Ibomcha speaking on the occasion said' we will put the best effort for full implementation of a vision i.e.'Reaching to Unreached'.
To make it a reality, special focus will be given to difficult, inaccessible and interior places of the state in the next three years for overall improvement of health care services in the state.
Additional 30% fund will be allocated for hill districts in the coming years for improvement of health care in the hill districts, the Director pointed out, while saying that incentives will be given to well performing staff particularly who are serving in the interior places.
In few days time, people of Tousem and Tamei will be able to see doctors in their respective places, he assured.
While focusing on collective initiative and ownership spirits to meet the aspirations of the people, he sought the support of respective local MLAs and the Community as a whole.
Before coming to Chakpikarong, the Director Dr.Okram Ibomcha and his officials along with MLA of 42-Tengnoupal A/C DK Korungthang, and Chairman of ADC/ Chandel Lhukhosei Zou had inspected the Primary Health Centre at Machi.
