Naorem Prakash, who has undergone right eye operation due to the injury he sustained in police firing in the wake of Tehelka's expose on Khwairamband incident, has been put in the Intensive Care Unit of All India Institute of Medical Science (AIIMS), New Delhi after another surgery was conducted in the head today.
Speaking to this newspaper on phone from New Delhi today, Prakash' father N Thoiba said the surgery was performed today by experts Neuro-Surgeon of AIIMS from 7am to around 2pm.Prakash is said to speak deliriously after he is placed in the ICU.
"Please let me go, I have a programme at 11.30," Prakash is said to have uttered.
Naorem Prakash, son of N Thoiba of Langthabal Kunja was admitted to AIIMS hospital on August 14.The coronary veins of the right eye are also said to be damaged by the gunshot which cause injury to his eye.
Prakash sustained injury at the eye on August 5 on charge of being part of the agitation against the reported fake encounter of July 23 at Khwairamband Bazar.
Prakash family has deposited Rs 15,000 for the conduct of the surgery today.
Earlier he was operated in the eye.
