Lamka, July 13 2010:
Deputy Commissioner of Churachandpur district Jacintha Lazarus today braved torrential rain to take a firsthand account on the progress of her pet project of nurturing a leafy catchment area.
Accompanied by a handful of officials and her private security personnel, the lady administrator walked along the marshy terrain to reach the catchment area of the district Zone II water source.
Walking for more than a kilometre through the barren jungle on foot under the heavy downpower, Jacintha was soaked from tip-to-toe.
Undeterred, she also strolled along a 'shaktiman' path used for quarrying in an attempt to halt the practice.
Lazarus's expedition today was a matchless devotion from the country's elite bureaucrats, and what's more is the fact that it was from a one of the few lady from the elite group.
