Japanese actor shows his care for Ema Keithel

Imphal, June 30 2014:
Blooming Manipur in association with Kangla Facebook Group, Soraren Repertory Theatre and Manipur Photography Society organised an event on the morning of June 29th, where Junichi Kajioka shared his 'respect' and 'caring' act to the historic Ema Keithel and Heingang Ching, the spiritual home of Manipuri Ponies, by planting flowers and Chingthrao trees.
Issuing a statement in this regard, Bish Elangbam, Co-ordinator of Blooming Manipur, extended their gratitude to Rajeshwor Yumnam, the pioneering person behind the many discovery trekking for world war artifacts in Manipur and one of main person of the team that organised events related to the same in recent months, for his help in facilitated to organise the event.
"We also wish to state that around 80 kind hearts of the above mentioned organisations joined the event along with R.K.Nimai, Commisioner ofarts and culture , government of Manipur and Aribam Nimai Sharma, Chairperson , Imphal Municipal Council," the statement added.
"It has been Blooming Manipur's aim and has been working within our available resources to transform our 700 year old Ema keithel into a blooming pride.
We along with many kind people have been working on the same by planting Chingthrao/Bauhinia trees at Heingang Ching , the abode of Iputhou Marjing, the spiritual home of polo.
We believe the flowers, plants and flowering trees can help in transforming this sacred and historic place and instil that vital sense of belongingness and responsibility.
We have been fortunate so far that the many Urum trees, Chingthrao and flowers that were planted at Heingang Ching , Ema keithel , Lilong higher secondary school , Maria Montessori school, in the roads at Sana Keithel , Loklaobung , Keishampat and Thamnapokpi , where we have been able to support have not only survived but some of the Chingthrao are even flowering.
We wish to consider that we have been very lucky that person like Junichi Kajioka being felicitated by many of his kind fans and well wishers, has helped in continuing the work in today's glorious event.
The event concluded at Kangla Laiphamlen by seeking blessings for a bright and blooming future of Manipur", the statement said.
Blooming Manipur has also conveyed its gratitude and best wishes to Junichi Kajioka for his beautiful film, Imphal 1944 , which apart from highlighting the inspirational true story of a japanese war veteran who fought in Manipur seek to highlight Imphal as the platform for reconciliation .
