The United Committee of Manipur (UCM) has conducted the oath taking ceremony of its newly appointed executives of its central committee for 2009-2012 sessions at its Lamphel office on March 23.The oath taking ceremony was administered by Retired Judge C Upendra as Oath Commissioner while President of UCM Konsam Langamba took part as functional president on the occasion.
The new ecutives of the central committee of UCM are Yumnamcha Dilipkumar as President, Y Nabachandra as Vice President, W Second as General Secretary, L Joykumar as Organization Secretary and others.
Speaking on the occasion, the newly appointed President of UCM, Yumnamcha Dilipkumar said that UCM will take appropriate action against regular crimes occurring in the state.
UCM will work on the belief that Unity is required for peace which will also result into integrity and also said that UCM will work for the betterment of the public despite all odds prevailing against civil organizations prevailing in the state.
In the speech of the oath commissioner, C Upendra, he said that the components of UCM is of high potential and it will not be wrong to say that UCM is one of the most courageous civil organizations in the state.
He wishes UCM to deliver its service courageously in the state where there is no rule of law.
Referring to the regular killings in the state, he expressed his fear the state would remain a widow land.
