Imphal, November 13 2011:
Reaction against the report of Times Now published on November 13 under the title "Manipur CM on terror radar", the proscribed UG group UNLF clarified that the report is totally baseless and stated that there is nothing like personal enmity with any individual in the freedom struggle of the organisation.
Senior Publicity Officer, UNLF Ksh Yoiheiba in a press statement alleged "the report is an example of the Indian colonial media trying to bring out a nasty image of the ongoing revolution in the state".
The statement further hit out at the state government for their inability to raise a single voice against the Centre for the welfare of the state.
Comparing the state government as a puppet government whose string is handled by the Centre, the statement also stated that no other state governments in the country would sit idle if the hardships and inconveniences faced by people of the state happened in their states.
The statement also pointed out that such discrimination by the India government and the people of the mainland India will end only when people of the state joined the freedom struggle and Manipur gets its freedom from the clutch of the colonial rule of India.
