Imphal, March 09 2009:
Leaders of the Manipur based proscribed militant outfit, People's United Liberation Front (PULF) Umar Farooq faction who were arrested on Thursday, March 5 in Mumbai were on Monday produced at the Chief Judicial Magistrate, Imphal in the court of Justice Padmeshore and an FIR filed against them.

Nandarani, project officer of the same were arrested on March 5 by a combined team of Imphal East police commandos and 12 Maratha Light Infantry with the help of Taloja police in Mumbai.
They were brought to Imphal on Sunday.
Against the leaders, the Irilbung police have registered an FIR No.73/6/08 Irilbung Police station and had them arrested under section 307/326/34 IPC and 25 (1-C) A Act on charges of having shot one MV Abdul Helim (54), son of (L) Md.Yaima of Keirao Makting Sabal Leikai and injuring him.
Further, the sub-inspector of Irilbung police station, Md Gaffar signed a petition urging that the leaders be kept under police custody for ten days starting from today till March 18.
