A MOBILE team of 4 IRB posted at Thenggu Chingjin of Koirenggei led by Jemandar Dikambou this morning found a handbag containing a sum of Rs 35,000 from Paona bazar area.
The IRB team showed the bag with money to reporters and announced that the bonafide owner could produce appropriate evidence that the money belongs to him and collect the money.
The mobile IRB team found the blue colour bag lying on the lane between the Ibohal Cycle shop and Diamond Tailor around 10.30 am today.
At first, they thought it could be a bomb, the IRB personnel told reporters, but when they picked up the bag and opened it, they found seven bundles of notes of Rs 500 and Rs 100 denominations.
They also found an account book of State Bank of India with the name Th Jugeshor.
